The neoclassical mansion of Sotiris Anargyros, the great benefactor of Spetses, was buil in 1904.
It is probably the first building built with reinforced concrete on the island of Spetses.
Sotirios Anargyros named the mansion after the Egyptian goddess "Neith" and decorated it with egyptian motifs, like the sphinxes at the entrance and the impressive wall paintings.
"Neith" was the Virgin-Mother and appeared before other deities, with no figure or gender; Neith is said to have been born the first.
